Broken nose and eye socket: De Bruyne seriously injured in Champions League final

The Belgian was unable to continue playing after a collision with Antonio Ruediger. He left the field in tears, with a bruise and swelling under his eye.

“Hey, guys. Just got back from the hospital. My diagnosis is a broken nose and a fractured left eye socket. I feel good now. Still disappointed with yesterday’s result, but we will be back, ” De Bruyne wrote on Twitter.

Recall that the game was held in Porto (Portugal) at the Dragau stadium. The only goal was scored by 21-year-old Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz, who scored in the 43rd minute from a pass from Mason Mount. London midfielder N’Golo Kante was named the best player of the match.
